The Imo State house of Assembly Tuesday, October 22nd in Owerri honoured Ezinne Akudo for emerging winner of the Miss Nigeria 2013 pageant. The 23 year old law graduate is now the face of Imo. A popular road in Owerri was also named after her.

A road is to be named after her so that it will always be in history that one of their own won the prestigious Miss Nigeria crown and this will serve as an inspiration to other younger girls in the state as well as the unborn.
