Breaking: Army imposes 24hr curfew in Yobe

Following attack by gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram on two wards in Nasarawa, Maisandari and the Police Mobile Force base along Gujba road in Damaturu, Yobe State Thursday October 24, the military today  imposed a 24-hour curfew in Damaturu.  The statement signed by Capt. Eli Lazarus, spokesman of the 3 Division Special Operations Battalion, Damaturu reads:

The 3 Division Special Operation Battalion, Damaturu, hereby imposes a 24-hour curfew across Yobe state, with immediate effect.

Law-abiding citizens are enjoined to remain calm as the battalion steps up its operation to rid the state of insurgents,”
