I will never cook for any man – Bianca Johnson

For those that don’t know her, Peace Bianka Johnson aka African Duchess is a top Nigerian movie producer based in the US. She also manages actors and artists. Here’s what she said about cooking as  a criteria for wife material…

Will NEVER cook for any man unless... Harsh reality, some men are not worth the burning and tearing you get from chopping an onion. I get more respect when I pretend I can't boil water. I will be treated to the best restaurant in town...but when a sister puts down her best skills and prepares the best bitter leaf soup with the healthiest dried fish in town, she is underrated. To hell with wife material.  What about husband material. Kitchen and bedroom have no correlation..snap out of it!

Lol. ace movie producer and director, Zeb Ejiro was one of the first to respond. See after cut…

I want a man with a hint of my dad – Sarah Ofili

For those that don’t remember this pretty face, Sarah is a beauty specialist, model and ex fiancée of rapper Ikechukwu. Says she want a man with a hint of her late dad. Pray God grants her request.

My Dad. They say it gets better as the years go by, but actually it gets worse coz every year we get older, wiser, stronger, better, things happen…. And as those things happen we wish u were here to experience it with us. Sometimes I can’t help but think “if daddy was here I wonder what he would’ve done”.

The last few years have been extremely challenging for me, as days go by I wish my Dad was alive to guide me. Lately, when people ask me “what kind of man do you want Sarah? ” Apart from the million and one things I can list in my head, I always end up with “I hope he has just a hint of my dad too”.

My Dad was one of the nicest, kindest, funniest and most loving Man I have known. And am not just saying it coz he’s my Dad. He gave us a strong foundation but let us build our own individual values in life. I am very proud of my dad, and I am grateful for all the wonderful things he thought me that has helped me through the Yrs. I only hope he’s just as proud of us are we are of him.

WE LOVE AND MISS YOU DADDY!

Lady writes Ali Baba, Says his relationship advice does not work in all cases

Y’all must have seen Ali Baba’s relationship advice that questions the relationship guideline dished out by actress Stella Damasus recently. This over 30 year-old rich single lady says she had done all that and more but her man still slept with her neighbour’s house help, lol. Here’s the letter she sent to Ali Baba…

Ali Baba, good morning, hope you are well. My regards to you and yours. As you would have seen, I am not following you, but I guess you still can see my Facebook page. I used to follow you, but I guess one of those days that you were making room for 'better' people I was dropped. Anyway, that is not why I am writing you. You have a right to whoever your friends are. I am about your write up on 'Why you man left you'. Great write up. Of course I have read your stuff on theBookOfAli blog. (If I may ask, why did you not post it there instead of letting these rumor scavengers to boost their desperate blogs with it). Sorry, I digressed. My brother, I happen to be one of the ladies that guys have left. 4 times to be exact. The fifth guy is nearly gone. His days are numbered. Story for another day. But I will make references to him ( No. 5) as I go on. Let me say, if you wish to publish this, feel free. I care so NOT. Back to my reason for replying. There are several ladies in my shoes who have given their all to guys and still got left. I read your piece over and over again and again trying to see what CORE things a guy would need to see in a lady before making up his mind to NOT LEAVE. I would, please ask you to please take your time to check out my CORE before you go on to read my reply.

1. Am beautiful. Check my pictures on facebook.
2. I have an LL.B, (Surrey) LL.M (Unilag) and an MBA ( Liverpool)
3. I earn a good salary
4. I can cook. Very well. Local and international
5. I am essentially and functionally good in bed. Tell me what pleases you. Yes. IM not a virgin. I have been around. But im not a loose lady.
6. I use the 'e' as my Grandma taught me when talking to elders. Even my friend.
7. I love kids. I want kids and I don't hide it. Besides at over 30... Time is not on my side. So DONT blame me that I put that on the table from the start. You talked about being open. So there you go.
8. I am tidy. No HOUSEHELP in my 4 bed room duplex and you can practically eat off my bathroom.
9. I am your example of a lady who walked out of a fashion magazine. I dress well and you can see that in my profile pictures.
10. I respect my Bobos. I don't nag. I do not raise my voice and I actually do not go hunting for clues that you don't give me. And if I ask and you convincingly explain. That is that.
11. My standards, as expected are high. My guy must be articulate, educated, a dresser, responsible, respectful, gainfully employed and full of life. And must have a HIV test. No option.
12. I am generous almost to a fault. Only child of my late parents, trained by my 81yr old Grandma, a retired lecturer.
13. I love to read and well informed on current affairs.
14. I don't smoke. Used to but quit when I turned 30. I drink some red wine now and then.
15. I have always believed that the more financially independent a guy is the better for our relationship. That way we don't hinge our love on what and how much one did for the other. So, I without thinking I always support my guys dreams just so we are both independent of each others finances. And when we both do anything it's with no strings attached.
16. I am ambitious and goal driven. So I do not like waiting for things to happen. I make things happen.
17. I have only like minded friends. If you act unrefined, I pass. So my circle of friends is very small.
18. I always want to talk over anything that bothers me. I am plain.

Phew!! Hope you read all of that. If you haven't, I will ask that you please pleas go through them again.
So, truly, I hope you have. Now, what do the guys who leave someone like me, to date my junior colleague in my office want? (No. 3) Why would my boyfriend who has shared my bed, sleep with my neighbour's HOUSEHELP? (No. 4) What on earth makes a guy who just wanted a fling be asking me out? (No. 1) Why do guys who have such small minds be trying to date and tame a lady way out of their league? (No.2) and finally, why do some children of the very opulent in Nigeria think the sun rises from their behind and sets in their eyes? (No.5)

I am a hard working lady with little needs. The flaunting of wealth by some men in Nigeria is a phallic expression of their innate but well hidden egoist complex that stems from the wrong notion that women are goods.... All that said, I must say it was a good piece you wrote. It is not your fault. I happen to have a friend of a friend Eunice, who knows your Jamaican wife, DONT know if it was South African now. She told of how you and your ex were. So I do not blame you. I know where you are coming from. So, true as your piece may be, there are 2 of any 10 lady in Nigeria that have those CORE things you wrote about, yet get left by stupid juvenile men who have no balls and want nothing in life but to live like boys. I also must say that I understand your caveat that that your piece goes both ways, for ladies and guys... But if you take your time to read that piece you will see that you were heavy on us. But like I said, I know where you are coming from.

Finally, I must say, well done on your activity on twitter. PS. Is This Femi Fani Kayode guy your friend friend? Or just Facebook friend? Talk to him. Can you?
If you can't never mind. Thanks for your time. Im off to shop on OXFORD street. I see you are in the UK. May run into you, not that I will be on the look out. Ciao

Jennifer Lopez lands $17.5m to return to American Idol

Jennifer Lopez will be earning $17.5m to return to her post as judge on American Idol next season.  In her first appearance in 2011, she earned  and then $15m for the next season. According to mailonline source:

There was a lot of back and forth negotiating on her salary, but now it's finally been settled that Jennifer will earn $17.5m to go back to Idol next season,' a source told MailOnline exclusively.

It's a major coup for her to land a huge payday like that and I believe she is thrilled with that number. It's a lot more than the $15m Britney Spears was paid to do The X Factor.'

Fani Kayode replies Bianca Ojukwu, say he has evidence of their AFFAIR!!!

Lol, this matter is beginning to go back and forth, forth and…hmmm. Fani Kayode says he has evidence of their affair and he's ready to prove it. Here's his response:

This morning I woke up to find a letter that was published as an advertorial in Thisday Newspaper purportedly by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu's lawyer threatening to sue me for mentioning her in my article and claiming that she has never met me before. She also said that I was being malicious. The matter has of course been referred to my lawyers.

Ordinarily I would have not have said a word about this because I sympathise with her for whatever she may have been going through.
However now that she has put it in the public realm I am compelled to respond.

To the assertion that I never knew her and that we were never friends I say this is false and I ask why would I lie? The public evidence is to the contrary. I would not want to say anything to embarrass her because that would be ungentlemanly.

I sympathise with her situation and once again I express regrets about the fact that my statement about her was misconstrued. I will just leave it at that
.

I was never Fani Kayode’s girlfriend – Bianca Ojukwu

Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has described as false the claim by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode  in his article ‘A word for those that call me Igbo hater’ that he had an intimate relationship with her before her marriage to the Biafra warlord, late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu. Bianca said  she had never met Fani-Kayode before, either at official or private level, not to talk of having an “intimate” relationship with him.

The ambassador, who spoke through her lawyers, Wall Street Attorneys, has threatened to drag the former aviation minister to court if he fails to retract his ‘libelous’ publication against her in the next seven days.

In the letter from her lawyers to Fani-Kayode, dated August 27, 2013 and signed by Mike Ugwuanyi, Esq, Mrs. Ojukwu demanded that the former minister writes an apology and retraction of the said libelous publication in The Sun and Thisday newspapers, as well as publish it in the online publication, where it emanated, in the next seven days or face litigation. The letter reads…

We have been briefed and our services retained by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain to demand from you an unreserved apology and a retraction of a false and malicious statement, which you published online and also caused to be published in the Leadership Newspaper of August 16, 2013.

In the said article entitled, ‘Neither a Tribalist nor a Hater,’ you recklessly alleged, as follows: ‘I was not a tribalist when I had a long standing and intimate relationship with Miss Bianca Onoh…’, a statement, which you know is untrue and unfounded, but only calculated to lower our client’s esteem and damage her national and international reputation.

Our client has never met you, does not know you in person and has never had any official or private relationship with you how much more ‘a long-standing and intimate relationship. Our client is therefore, outraged by your bizarre and scandalous allegation and the numerous mails and telephone calls she has received from friends, relations and admirers who are equally embarrassed and who seek to confirm the veracity or otherwise of your false and reckless publication.

Your apparent lame and half-hearted attempt, as published in the Leadership Newspaper of 17th August 2013, to clarify your false and malicious allegation falls far short of a retraction and does not sufficiently address the damage to our client arising from the widespread dissemination of your false publication and is therefore unacceptable to our client.

In the circumstances, we demand, on the instruction of our client that you submit to her a clear and unqualified apology and retraction published in The Sun and Thisday newspapers in addition to having the retraction published online.
Take note that should you fail to tender the apology and publish a retraction of your false and malicious publication, seven days next after your receipt of this demand notice, our further instructions are to seek appropriate redress in court. And that shall be without further recourse to you. Be properly guided.

Taraba lawmakers stop Gov. Suntai from resuming duties, ask him to return to hospital

The Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Haruna Tsokwa, has announced that the lawmakers have decided to ask Governor Danbaba Suntai to go back to the United States to continue his rehabilitation programme and only come back to run his office when he is fully fit.

The 24 members of the Assembly had on Wednesday evening visited the governor after resolving at their sitting earlier Wednesday to meet with Mr. Suntai to confirm his true state of health before taking any position on his letter stating his intention to resume office. In his statement:

“Whereas we sympathize with the Suntais and the entire people of Taraba State over this unfortunate incident and sincerely wish the ailing Governor full recovery, we however condemn unequivocally the attempt by some political vultures within and outside the State who are bent on holding a whole State to ransom and make effective governance once again unrealistic,” a network of civil society groups said on Tuesday.

“These charlatans have desperately kept trying to cling to political power and by extension the resources of Taraba State through series of craftily woven plots of deceits, meant to hoodwink the Nigeria public in a manner similar to the unfortunate Turai-Yar’adua saga.”

Lola Alao's new hubby is a fraudster!!! ...Spent I-year in Kuwait prison for credit card scam

This is what E247mag is reporting…

A fortnight ago when star actress, Lola Alao, got married in far- flung Atlanta, United States of America, USA, to AdewaleYakubuAdewaleAjibola, the couple, literally, could not contain their excitement.  Lola was positively glowing in her creamy wedding dress while Yakubu sporting a bespoke grey suit, wore a disarming smile.  Though not an opulent wedding, they exchanged marital vows, flaunted the marriage certificate and the pictures  that went viral online generated mixed reactions. There are fears too, solemn fears: Lola's new hubby is plagued with an ugly past - a credit card scam that kept him 'inside' in a Kuwaiti cell.  According to an insider, this isn't the first time the 'Nigerian big boy' has been on the wrong side of the law.

His claim to relevance and easy bait for unsuspecting women who wanted love and affection, has been his American citizenship’s status and his dashing looks, a reference to what in Yoruba parlance is called Faworaja, (meaning a person who lives off his looks). When he was arrested in Kuwait for the credit card scam, Yakubu, was able to answer the police questions adroitly, but the authorities were not convinced of his claim that he was innocent.

A ring of 'scammers' had some months before his arrival, operated in the same manner and went away with their loot in the Middle East commercial city. Unsuspectingly, Yakubu walked into a booby trap.  While Wale YakubuAjibola, the Nigerian-born American citizen served terms for one year,  the Big Sam turned the other cheek.

Lola, who is hell-bent on getting a husband, was not too lucky last year when her hatched plot to marry another Nigerian based in Europe was thwarted by her first husband, Dare Ogunlana,  who unleashed a media attack on her.  Meanwhile, Lola found a close ally in another actress, Bukky Wright, also married to a US-based Nigerian, Wale Onitilo.  Lola and Bukky seem to be best friends in real life because their chemistry comes through effortlessly.

Since her marriage to US-based lover and car dealer, Dare Ogunlana, broke up, the Kogi-born actress has met a few men but she has not been quite lucky to have one of them put a ring on it. Bukky, we reliably gathered has been concerned and busy setting Lola up on dates with non-famous friends and some buddies of her current hubby. She wanted Lola to have her kind of relationship that will guarantee American citizenship status. When Yakubu walked in, it was a willing and desperate Lola he met and, trust her, she quickly hung on tight. Sources disclosed that while he was cooling his feet in the Kuwaiti authorities' cell, Lola scampered for his release by consulting marabouts widely. They were constantly in touch on phone and gradually they  built the affection.

On release some months ago, after serving terms in Kuwait for one year, she sent him a ticket to come home, made few appearances at functions that were private  and  they bonded before he returned to the United States  to prepare for the August wedding.  While Lola has taken the highroad by walking down the aisle with Yakubu,  brimming with broad smiles that  she has found love and a good match, observers of Nollywood  marriages and the rate at which it dissolves, feel Lola may have finally found a big catch to perfect her plans for an American citizenship status.

Yakubu, has never been married but he has three kids, including a set of twins  from two women among his strings of ladies. From his profile, though he claimed to be an ICT expert, he is not quite buoyant financially and his recent incarceration in Kuwait has not helped.

There is no record of an apartment in his name; the newly married couple are guests in one of the hubby's relations' house in Atlanta.  Prior to his ill-fated venture in Kuwait, he is said to have been living off his relations in California before life threw terrible storms at him and he moved to Houston. In his bid to survive, he crossed to Atlanta where he allegedly joined the credit scam racket popularly known as 'Track 1, Track 2'.

For Lola, it has been a tortuous and lonely journey with her 10-year- old daughter, Omowunmi from her first marriage with Dare. As she stepped out from the depths of despair to happily ever after, it is not clear if Dare will not sue her for bigamy as their marriage consummated in Nigeria has not been officially dissolved. Lola and Yakubu are expected in Nigeria soon.
