I wonder how much Jim Iyke was paid for his stunts – Afrocandy

I don’t know if I should be posting this oooh but since today is independence, I am going to use that freedom lol. Our soft porn star Afrocandy thinks Jim Iyke’s deliverance at TB Joshua’s church na wash, haha. That woman no go kill me oooh!!!

I wonder how much Jim Iyke was paid for his stunts - Na waah for our actors, Jym Ike took his stunt to the alter. I wonder how much he got paid for this 'movie'. Nevertheless, he is a very good actor tho

Happy 53rd Independence Day Anniversary Nigeria!

At 53, we are no longer pikins oooh! A woman at 53 don pass menopause. And for some men nko … haha. Independence means freedom. As we celebrate, let us pray our freedom don’t turn out our damnation. I love Africa! I love Nigeria! I love Green White Green! Peace y’all.

Charles Novia says Jim Iyke should take women he’s dated for deliverance

The Nollywood ace actor and film maker took to twitter to express his thoughts about Jim Iyke’s deliverance at Prophet TB Joshua's Synagogue Church of All Nations yesterday. Says the women he's dated also need deliverance...

So, Jim Iyke got 'delivered' of an evil demon in a popular church recently? Mmmmm. Chai! Strange things happen. #GTFOH! And after Jim Iyke's deliverance, the 'new' Jim Iyke barked out at his PA about his shoes off his legs? Hmmmm. #GTFOH

All I can say is that 'whatever floats your boat, brother'. Better send those poor women you have dated to same church for same. These Nollywood stars and the rush for 'deliverance'. Dem need am sef. God save us Producers from some of the demons we cast.

I'm not insulting anyone. I just feel that 'deliverance' issues are personal. Not with cameras and klieg lights. De demon na star? I know I am treading dangerous grounds here esp when it comes to spiritual stuff and celebs but I have a right to comment since it's public
My moonlighting as a critic makes analytical cynicism a part of my job. We are afraid too much of speaking our minds#GTFOH. I do think though that Jim was brave to go for deliverance. It is a first step to a total recovery. I wish him well. Honestly, I do.
For those sending me hateful tweets over this deliverance issue, you know the way to the church for yours. I'm unfazed. My tweets are my personal opinions on a topic, if you twist them or it offends you, na you sabi. No skin off my nose.
Like I said, Jim has my best wishes. Good actor, he is. We go through a mid-life crisis one time or the other. Genuine God discovery helps.

One month after, late Ajanaku’s aides still claim he’s not dead!

A month after Prophet Ireti Ajanaku’s death, his followers have still refused to acknowledge his passage. According to Encomium Weekly, some of his aides few days ago expressed their annoyance and displeasure over the widespread reports that their leader has passed on.  The church secretary, Mrs. Rose in a chat flared up when her spiritual father was addressed as late Prophet Ajanaku…

“Who told you he is dead?  He is not dead yet.  Stop referring to him as late Prophet Ajanaku.”
Till date, the church members still hold vigil for the deceased. They have not also officially announced his demise in the church.  That’s why they have not announced his obituary.

Meanwhile, his young widow, Joy, has finally taken over the pastoral duty of the church. she was in charge of ministration of Sunday’s service.  Despite the war her in-laws waged against her, she is handling the ministry bravely as if her hubby only travelled.

Who gives a damn if Jim Iyke has 99 demons – Bianca Johnson

For those who still don’t know who Bianca Johnson is, abeg go to google.  If you think she is wrong, be the first to cast a stone, lol. Me, I can't fit shout! Here’s what she wrote...

Actor Jim Lyke went to TB Joshua to get deliverance and it went viral...same day Boko Haram militant shot and killed over 60 students in Yobe college dorm while they sleep, Nigerians swept it under the rug, business as usual. Who gives a damn if Jim has 99 demons...I guess 60 innocent and harmless dead bodies are not as sensational as Jim Lyke. May their souls rest in peace. Amen!

Meanwhile see Jim iyke’s tweets on why he visited TB Joshua's Synagogue Church of God after cut…

Our Lamb President and the Blood of the Innocents – Femi Fani Kayode

With the killing of 62 children by Boko Haram in Damatru yesterday morning, the slaughter of 140 Nigerian troops by Boko Haram in Borno state last friday, the massacre of 41 school children in Borno state by Boko Haram two months ago, the mass murder of no less than 7000 thousand Nigerians by Boko Haram in the last 3 years and the raging war that is going on in the northern eastern part of our country between Boko Haram, and our military today, Fani Kayode reproduced the article he first wrote  in September 2011 which correlates with prevailing events of recent times…

Permit me to begin this contribution by reproducing a portion of an essay that I wrote on 26 September 2011 which was titled ''On Goodluck Jonathan, David and Goliath''. The essay reads as follows.

''A few days ago from the sacred pulpit of the hallowed chambers of the Ecumenical Centre in Abuja and in the presence of the entire leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), President Goodluck Ebele Jobathan proclaimed as follows- ''I am not David....I am not a general.....I am not a lion.....I will defeat the Goliaths in our land''. These are deep and instructive words yet I do wonder whether Mr. President understands the spiritual and practical implications of what he is saying.

If he says that he ''is not a David'' how can he then possibly slay the ''Goliaths in the land?'' If he says that he ''is not a general'' how can he be an effective Commander-in-Chief who commands the respect and confidence of his army and his officers? If he says that he ''is not a lion'' how can he overwhelm the animals in our jungle that seek to destroy and ravage our land? The lion is a noble and courageous animal that defends it's pride and family and protects it's own. That is why it is known as the ''king of the jungle'' and that is why our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself is known as the ''Lion of the Tribe of Judah''.

Every king worth his salt must have the spirit of the lion and the warrior in him to a certain extent. It is a fundamental pre-qualification for good quality and inspirational leadership and that is what distinguishes the pretender and the usurper from a real king. May the spirit and weakness of Ahab not be our President's portion even though his words seem to have ensnared him. History proves that weak kings and weak leaders always pull down and destroy great empires and strong kingdoms.

If you have any doubt about that consider what happened to the Roman Empire under Nero, Claudius or Caligula. If you still have any doubts after that then read up on Russian history or watch an excellent old film called ''Nicholas and Alexander'' about Tsar Nicholas the 1st, the last Tsar of Russia and how his strong-willed wife and his consistent display of weakness shamed and brought down imperial Russia, destroyed the 300 year old royal dynasty of the Romanovs, led directly to the First World War (which in turn led to the Second World War and then later the Cold War), caused the communist revolution, led to the Russian civil war, resulted in the murder of his whole family and ended in the establishment and creation of the most evil and godless empire that has ever ruled half of the world- the cold and all-powerful Soviet empire.

That is what weakness, prevarication, inconsistency, cowardice, emotional slavery, inexplicable fear and the celebration of indecision can do. Worst still you don't boast about such qualities because there is nothing to be proud of in them. Always remember, whether you are a king or a subject, that courage is the greatest of all the virtues. This is wisdom. Would someone please tell our President''.

Once again please take note that the contribution that I have reproduced above was first written by me and published on 26th September 2011, almost two years ago to the day.

With the killing of 62 children by Boko Haram in Damatru yesterday morning, the slaughter of 140 Nigerian troops by Boko Haram in Borno state last friday, the massacre of 41 school children in Borno state by Boko Haram two months ago, the mass murder of no less than 7000 thousand Nigerians by Boko Haram in the last 3 years and the raging war that is going on in the northern eastern part of our country between Boko Haram and our military today those words and that counsel that was offered two years ago seem even more relevant today than it was even at that time.

The carnage that we are witnessing in our country today has come as a direct result of the manifestation of weakness at the top. When a President tells the world that Boko Haram are his ''siblings'' whom he ''cannot move against'', as he did earlier this year, he is asking for trouble. When a President keeps offering Boko Haram amnesty even when they kept rejecting it and whilst they were murdering his people, as he has been doing for the last three years, he is asking for trouble. When a President installs and supports a party National Chairman who describes Boko Haram as ''freedom fighters'', as he did earlier this year, he is asking for trouble.

When a President announces to the world that he is ''not a lion or a David'', as he did exactly two years ago, no-one should be surprised when his people are killed like flies before his very eyes. May God bring us a real leader that can save our nation and may He take away this one who feels no pain and has no empathy when Nigerian blood, nay even the blood of innocent children, is shed with impugnity. Under the tenure of our ''lamb'' President more innocent Nigerians have been slaughtered by terrorists than at any other time in the history of our country except during the civil war.

What a mess, what a record. I have said it before and I shall say it again, Nigeria has become an abbatoir of human flesh and blood under the tenure of Jonathan and all those who support him should bury their heads in shame. The blood of all those innocent people is on his hands because he swore to an oath before God and the Nigerian people to protect them from such evil. Instead of getting on with his job and doing so he is boasting to the world about ringing the bell in the New York Stock Exchange and receiving illusionary and absurd commendations from President Barack Obama.

I am not in a relationship – Actress Kate Henshaw

The 42 year old actress whose 12 year marriage to Roderick James Nuttal crashed in 2011 was recently rumoured to be in a relationship with one Mr. Onwuchekwa she was spotted with recently. Kate in this interview talks about her single status and the fact that she is still single…

I just decided that, ok, it didn’t work. Next, I had to move on. There is no need holding on to the past – no need holding on to something if it’s not working any more. There is no need flogging a dead horse since it is already lifeless. And when you decide to bury the horse, would you not leave the grave site afterwards? You would go now. Anything that happens to you now, that sun would still set, another day would come. So, it’s your choice to either be part of the living or be in the grave yard. And I choose to be alive, enjoy my life and smile at everything that is happening – good or bad. As long as God is with you, things would always be fine with you.
I’m not thinking about anything. At the moment, I’m facing my career. If it comes, fine. If it doesn’t come, that’s okay. It’s not the end of the world because I’m convinced that God loves me.
Love has given me more than enough. I have the most gorgeous daughter in the whole world. That’s enough for me.

Afrocandy says stop arresting adults for making love in bushes

 …because CONJI na bastard oooh!

How barbaric and how low could we get Africa? Parading people naked everyday for one stupid reasons or the other. We don't live in caves no more and this is 2013 for goodness sakes. Look at this case, 2 grown adults were caught and arrested for enjoying themselves in the 'bush'? Why the arrest? They were not harming or hurting anybody, were not committing any crimes and were not even doing it in public, at least they hid in the bush since they could not afford the motel. Abeg tell me, would they have come to your house to do it? Conji knows no boundaries o and sometime you have to take it anywhere it holds you......The world is moving very fast so make we wise up!!

Governor Fashola should not have apologised to Igbos – Femi Fani Kayode

So yesterday, Thursday September 26, Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) apologised to the Igbos over the July 24 dumping of 72 alleged destitute in Onitsha, Anambra State, by his administration. Femi Fani Kayode says the governor ought not to have tendered any form of apology to the Igbos…

There can be little doubt that the relocation of the 19 igbo destitutes from Lagos state a few months ago was a lawful exercise and that it was done in the interest of Lagos state. Consequently I do not believe that Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola ought to have tendered any form of apology whatsoever to the igbo for what he did. The only redeeming factor is the fact that the apology was obviously designed simply to calm frayed nerves and I commend Fashola for that gesture if nothing else. I say this because my understanding is that he apologised NOT for the deportation itself but for ''the misunderstanding that arose from it''. There is a world of difference between the two.

I also commend him for admonishing the igbo to develop their own region and to decide whether they are ''igbo before they are Nigerians or Nigerians before they are igbo''. This is a fundamental question that I believe that we must all determine in our hearts and minds whether we are of igbo, yoruba, hausa/fulani or ijaw stock or anything else.

For the purposes of clarification the debate that has been raging in the land for the last two months, though sparked off by Fashola's relocations, was more about the curious claim that Lagos state was ''no man's land'' which the igbo jointly own with the yoruba and which they had developed, and are indeed still developing, with their money and nothing else. It was that assertion, and not the plight of a handful of igbo destitues, that many of us from west of the River Niger took issue with. Fashola and others have said publiclly that it is ''absurd'' and ''insulting'' for anyone to call Lagos state ''no-man's land'' and that is good enough for me. As long as he did not apologise for saying that I have no problem with whatever he may or may not have said about the deportations even though, had I been governor, I would have handled it differently.

The truth is that the yoruba way is to apologise not only when you are wrong but also when you are right if you believe that the other party has been badly hurt by your actions. It is a generous and kind disposition which is borne out of the yoruba concept of the ''omoluwabi spirit''- a good heart and a clean spirit that desires, above all else, peace, joy and harmony. Yet to those from outside yorubaland that do not share that disposition, that do not understand that spirit and that cannot even begin to comprehend it, an apology is nothing less than an admission of guilt and wrong- doing and a trophy of triumph to those whom it is offered.

It is for this reason that I believe that it was wrong for Fashola to apologise and that it is important for us to consider the long term implications of what he has done. The truth is that in life perception counts for everything. And rightly or wrongly the perception that most people have, particularly amongst the igbo, is that Fashola has indeed apologised for the deportations. This perception is supported by misleading newspaper headlines which were drafted and written by journalists who did not bother to read the text or properly decipher the statement.

Whether anyone likes it or not this latest development is viewed as a great triumph for the hardline igbo nationalists and the Governor Peter Obi's of this world who honestly believe that the igbo have some kind of special rights or special status in Lagos and indeed in yorubaland. They say and do things in Lagos and other parts of the west that they dare not do in the north and that they will never allow our people to do in the east. This is because they fear the northerners who have often put them in their place when they cross the line but they have nothing but contempt for us. Fashola has now given those within the igbo community that have this mindset far more legitimacy, strength and confidence.

In any case now that dishing out apologies is the order of the day and he has set the precedent, the question has to be asked- will Peter Obi take a cue from that, be a gentleman and apologise for deporting the people of Akwa Ibom from his Anambra state as well? Is Obi that reasonable or charitable? Do those that think like him believe trhat what is good for the goose is good for the gander? I doubt it very much. Again will Fashola apologise to the numerous northerners that he deported from Lagos as well and will he apologise to his yoruba kith and kin from Oyo and Osun for deporting them too? I really do wonder how far this new-found large-heartedness and seasonal expression of regrets will go? Will it be spread everywhere or is it exclusively reserved for the igbo?

More importantly, in the spirit of this new rapprochement, will Fashola secretly conceede portions of Lagos state and yorubaland to them as well? Will he take my dear egbon and former cabinet colleague, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe's counsel, and wholeheartedly accept the interesting notion that the igbo have ''married all our daughters'' in idungaran and isale-eko and that we should therefore give all our land and territory to them? Will he give up the patrimony of his people all in the name of trying to appease the igbo and get their votes for the APC in the upcoming governorship election in Anambra state? If that is the plan I doubt that it will work because they are a pretty unforgiving lot. The more you give the more they will ask for and at the end of the day you will end up losing far more than you gain.

Governor Chris Ngige, who is an amiable gentleman and one of the most decent, accomodating, liberal, detribalised and civilised people that I know from the east, will gain nothing from this and sadly the person that will gain from it will be the hardline, igbocentric Peter Obi and his APGA candidate in november's gubernatorial election in Anambra state. People like Fashola need to undersatand that sometimes in trying to play the generous statesman and the kind-hearted omoluwabi we end up being taken for granted and making fools of ourselves. You only apologise to those who will appreciate it, who do not necessarily see it as an admission of guilt and who will not misconstrue it as weakness. This is because the display of weakness by any leader, no matter how well-liked, only attracts impudence and aggression from those who have a hidden agenda. A word is enough for the wise.

If I were Governor of Lagos state I would never have apologised for the execution of a legitimate and lawful exercise which was absolutely necessary and which was done in the interests of my state and my people, no matter how many cows I had been offered or given by the kinsmen of those affected. What Fashola has done, albeit inadvertently, is to betray those amongst his yoruba kith and kin that stood by him and defended him when he took that historic and controversial decision to deport the igbo destitutes. He has also fuelled the erroneous impression that is held by most of the igbo that the yoruba people and their leaders are bumbling and inconsistent cowards that cannot stand firm when put under pressure and when faced with threats and hardship.

This is sad and unfortunate because that is not who or what we are. Though we cherish and often manifest the omoluwabi spirit, the yoruba are also a lion-hearted people- we are slow to anger but irresistable in battle. We are as constant as the northern star even though we are accomodating and generous. I have immense respect for Fashola and I happen to have a spoft spot for him but I believe that his behaviour is a clear u-turn and that it represents a double standard, a capitulation of values and a revocation of principle. You don't apologise for government policy just to appease a certain group of people no matter how bellicose, violent, loud and aggressive they may be. It is better to lose a million elections outside yorubaland than to conceed even one inch of yoruba territory to those that seek to lay claim to that which is not theirs. A word is enough for the wise.

Singer Soul E finds love again and not with an older lover!!!

Some years back the singers, Emmanuel Ifechukwude Okose (Soul E) and beautiful banker, Queen Ure were an item in the Nigerian showbiz circuit. So hot was their love for each other that they made the public believe they were legally married. They both ran Love Villa, a Lagos-based youth church Queen founded and Soul E Records. After the affair packed up, Queen Ure went back to join Rev. Chris Okotie’s Household of God Church where she worshiped before setting up Love Villa while loverboy went underground. Soul E finally opened up to Taiwo Obatusin on why his celebrated romance with Ure crashed…
You have been off the scene for a while now, what has been happening to your career?
I have been working and now I am more of an inspiration artiste. I have been cooking up a lot of things. We have shot like 3 musical videos. I am ready to kick off and come out of my shell now.
I have an album in the market called ‘Message’. It is a gospel album, I have also been working on 2 videos, ‘Thank God and Baba You Too Much’. I am more of gospel musician now. I have a very huge passion for God. Most of the trials I faced made me realise where I was coming from. I am guided by the fact that God allowed me pass through all that so that I can be refined.
I am also dropping an inspirational album next year March. Also a song called ‘O Ya Now’ will also be released. I have 100 songs in my archieve ready to be released. All the while that my followers have not heard from me, I have been working.
Before you relocated to Abuja, some years ago, you ran a church with your ex-Queen Ure, what happened to the church?
(Laughs). Let me correct this. I didn’t have a church. It was my ex’s ministry. I was supporting her at that time. I am not a Pastor. I am a musician. I preach through my music. One of my vision is taking the gospel from the church to the streets.
What was responsible for your relocating to Abuja?
I was handling some projects. I have a registered company, Soul E International. I handled some contracts. My moving to Abuja was based on that. I also wanted a change of environment. I wanted to stay away for a while and come back better which is exactly what happened.
How many years did you stay in Abuja?
I left for Abuja end of 2009. I came back to Lagos 2 years ago but I did make it public. I stayed in Abuja for about 3 years.
Immediately you got to Abuja, there was a story that you got married to Abuja Big Babe, Petula Delinda shortly after your marriage to Queen Ure broke up in Lagos.
(Cuts in with a loud laughter). My God! Wetin I do Nigerian press men? Haa! London Big Girl? Me? For real? I was in Abuja for projects. I am into contracts and own a travelling agency. I was doing a lot of stuffs. I am seriously in shock. Let me clear the air, Ure and I never got married. Why is the story of my marriage to Ure always coming up? I am a musician.

What about Petula, were you married to her?
Petula is my very close friend.
But there are stories that both of you lived together?
That is not true. She is a good friend of mine. I saw her about 4 days ago and she is in Lagos as we speak. Though she told me about the story but I didn’t believe it until now. The day I am going to marry the whole country would know I am getting married.
Are you saying you are not married?
Soul E is a single boy.
But everyone had the impression that you and Queen Ure were altar-bound?
I was in love with Ure, no doubt about that. I take responsibilities for my actions. I would never deny I was in love with her.
When did you part ways and what caused it?
I don’t want to talk about the issue.
Were the issues irreconcilable or both of you were no longer compatible?
Things didn’t work out between Ure and I. We parted ways late 2007. We had gone our separate ways 1 year before it became known to the public.

Was there a mutual agreement?
It was an understanding between both of us. Both of us understand ourselves.
What is the state of your relationship now?
We are still friends. Ure can never be my enemy. She would always be part of my life. I would greet her whenever I see her.
So there was nothing like marriage between both of you?
I have never been married. Soul E is a single boy.
So no relationship for now?
I have a relationship. I have a woman in my life whom I am proud of. When I am ready for marriage I will invite all the media houses in Nigeria, so they can see the woman.
Can you tell us a bit about the woman?
(Laughs). Even if I have a serious relationship now I would not want to talk about it. Please and please ooo.
So where did the story of you being married to Queen Ure come from?
I wouldn’t know. I have never been married to any woman. Anyone in doubt of my claims should go to any marriage registry in the country to check their records. I think journalists too should have asked where the marriage certificate is. Where is the marriage certificate?
Why have you always been linked with ladies who are older than you. What is the attraction for you?
(Laughs). Oh my God. The woman I am involved with now is younger than me. Ure is the only lady that was older than me with many years gap.
But on the average older babes want to date you…
I disagree with you. Younger babes too come telling me we should date. The only babe that I have dated and there was so much hype is Ure.
What lessons did you learn from the relationship?
I have learnt not to put my relationship in the hands of the crowd. If the public, friends and press were not involved, we would have still being together. I have learnt that my relationship is my life. I have made up my mind that no one would be involved in my future relationship.
But a lot of people have an impression that you date older women and some assume you are a Gigolo…
That is absurd and a wrong impression about me. I am 4 years older than the woman I am dating now. I respect women because as an artiste, they make me who I am. I go after who I love whether she is older or younger than me. It is nobody’s business.
Was that why you went out of circulation?
Exactly, I had to go away from all what people were saying.

Photos: Angry Arik Air passengers block Abuja airport runway

Angry passengers on Thursday evening blocked the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, preventing planes from taking-off or landing. Findings revealed that the blockade was caused by passengers who disembarked from an Arik Air flight that was meant to take them to the Margaret Ekpo Airport, Calabar from Abuja.

According to reports, the flight that had the Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, on board, was denied landing at the Calabar airport at about 5.30pm by the station manager due to safety concerns.
It was learnt that despite pleas by the aides to the governor to allow the landing of the aircraft, the station manager refused, citing the fact that the runway lightening was poor thus, the pilot was left with no other choice than to return the passengers to the Abuja airport.

A passenger in one of the stranded airplanes said he and other travellers had to disembark and sat on the tarmac for more than one hour after the pilot announced that the plane could not take off because the runway had been blocked.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Yakubu Dati, who confirmed that the Arik passengers blocked the runway, blamed the airline for the incident. He added that the passengers had insisted that Arik must compensate them for breach of contract, especially since the flight was delayed.

The spokesperson of Arik Air, Mr. Adebanji Ola, said that it was not the fault of the airline that the Calabar airport was closed by the time the flight from Abuja got there.

The flight was delayed because there was Very Important Personality movement and there was also some weather issues, it is not the fault of the airline that the plane could not land there.
We are amazed that despite the security at the Abuja airport, passengers were still able to hijack the aircraft and hold other planes to ransom, that should not be the case.
